Santa Visits Lights On Coco 12/22/2018

We had a great time Saturday Night when Santa came to visit Lights On Coco.   Most of the kids were super excited to see Santa.  It's difficult to keep track, but we estimated about 60-70 kids came to see Santa, we even had our youngest little guy ever this year, he was a couple of weeks old.  I have to say that listening to everyone's stories and hearing that this is part of their family's tradition touches our heart.  When I say we love doing this for everyone it is an understatement.  It would truly not be Christmas for us if we did not do this.

This is our 1st and only home, we started decorating it about 20 years ago and noticed that we had cars pulling up and stopping by to see the lights.  Each year we have added more items and music.   In 2012, 7 years ago, we decided to have Santa Stand out side and hand out Candy Canes.  This all goes back to when I was a little girl. My Mom, Dad, Aunts, and Uncle used to take care of Ellwood Little League and they would have a Santa, family members and Little League members walk around the neighborhood singing Christmas Carols and giving out Candy Canes.  I remembered how much fun this was for everyone.  So we started the the 1st year with Santa standing on the porch waving.  The 2nd year we had a couple of kids come up to have pictures taken. The 3rd year my grandson (Bailey) said, "Lets collect food for people or toys for kids, so we did, and we have grown each year.

Now that you know a little about how we started, let me take some time to thank you all for coming to visit us each year and donating.  Like I said, we enjoy this more than words can say. We received a lot of donations this year and I will be posting pictures when we take the donations to the Food pantry so everyone can see where their donations go.

I have shared all the pictures that I took on Saturday to our Facebook Page Santa's Visit 2018. You are more then welcomed to tag yourself in any photo that are yours.  Also, if you would like to stay up to date on Santa's visits in the future LIKE OUR FACEBOOK PAGE at Lights On Coco. Once again, Thanks from the bottoms of our hearts for Making our Christmas' better each year.

Lights On Coco.
